My Empty Cries

Poem

Why?
Why did you do this to me?
How could you say those things?
Do I mean nothing to you?

Can see me love?
Can you see the pain you're putting me through?
When you smile and I know it's not for me. To hear your voice and know it'll never whisper my name. 

You just seem to forget love,
All the nights we spent together. The love and passion we had for each other. 
Waking up in each others arms, smiling and laughing. 
You seem like, those moments meant nothing to you.

But how?
How can you forget it all happened?
How is that even possible?

Are you even aware of my existence?

Can you hear me at night?
As I writher in bed, from the burning pain that surrounds me? As my wrists throb from the icy burn of a blade?
As I cry out for you, begging for you to return.

But I receive no answer.
You're too far now...
And no matter how hard I try,
Or how loud I cry.
I know,
       You're never coming back,
