Sunset in the desert

Life is colorful everywhere, if one is patient enough to look

Pieces of cotton wool
Plaster tired skies
A winking sun gives up the fight,
Alone and spent, it dies.

Yet after death the show continues
A colorful rigor mortis now,
Engulfs shy pink marshmallow clouds,
As peace rests on my brow.

[email protected] poem was more imagination than anything else....trying to block out the oil refinery and flat, boring desert I live in.....:) I am sure your desert looks better than mine!
