We'll start with one tree

I built us a little cottage

Far from the maddening crowd

I tried to get a piece of mountain

But they were all taken

I tried to have a little patch of forest

But they were all taken

I tried to get closer to a lake

But those spots were all taken

I hope that you are not taken

I know that you may think

That there is no “us”

But that is okay.

The few trees I have now

Will grow into a forest, one day

Love works like that too

If one is willing

To work

With

one.

Well, as with 90% of my poetry, the image stirred these words, and often the words may not apply to myself, but I am sure some people out there may find that it applies to them or their situation....:)....isn't that what poetry is? Giving words to a certain spot on this line we call life.....:)

Thanks for the review, my friend. I take a break every once in a while to a place where no matter which direction I look, I cannot see any structure, hear or see any human activity. Now THAT is peace of mind....:) One day I will build a little house there......
