Half a dozen blues

Half a dozen blues

A Poem by SleeplessVolcano

I had a dream
I took a drop of byzantine blue
and drew a picture
of when we walked, hand in hand,
while the turquoise Bosphorus
tickled our faces with a gentle spray.
The sky was bright aqua, with white
spots of seagulls deflecting the sun
Ancient indigo stained glass
absorbed the light, as if the sea gods
sent ocean azure to become a land color
You smiled my blues away
Even when my paint ran out
you became the blue of my heart.
