The player on road trip #5

The player on road trip #5

A Poem by SleeplessVolcano

I drove past your town today
I wondered what you were doing
So many things I'd dare say
To add fuel to our sharp wooing.

The clouds at your turn looked dark
It made me second guess my heart
Yet I can't deny this spark
Still burning both our worlds apart.

In my rear-view mirror now
This chance I had to let go too
Who will console my wet brow?
Will it be the next one I woo?

It sounds like there is more going on here than the road trip.
Some forbidden temptation. The longing is there.
