The worthwhile wild goose chase

The worthwhile wild goose chase

A Poem by SleeplessVolcano

The goose which laid the golden eggs
is lost in the maze of your mind.
Find it.
Do not chase it.
Get close to it, gradually.
Listen to what it sounds like.
It will speak to you,
if she realizes that you are not the enemy.
And when she starts to speak to you,
write it down.
Regurgitate on paper those thoughts.
Strengthen them.
Sift them.
Make them polished.
And maybe you may reach
that middle road
of capturing the spirit of creativity.

I like the way you have approached this, the way things are slowed down, do not chase it, get close to it gradually. You can not force creativity, you can not force words. They will only come when they are ready. Sometimes you have to be patient, and of course anything which has been written needs to be polished to get the desired results. An enjoyable read.
