See you on the other side

The shy water flowing

beneath our stone-hardened feet

reminds me of lingering moments

we believed would never end

I'll meet you there, one day

You can bring

those delicate snacks - 

olives, goat's cheese and figs

and I will travel light

with a few dozen tasty poems

slung over my burden-free shoulders

You can feed me a scrumptious bite

while you nibble on my whimsical words

and together

we'll cross that bridge

our love built

all those forgotten years ago

i think this is so very cool Sleepless ...love the story ...i think the "stone hardened feet" are fantastic ... vivid imagery, emotive and tells volumes to me ... title poem and pic all work so very well together ..its a keeper my friend!
