The Seventh surviver

The Seventh surviver

A Poem by A.R. Rose
"

Brought from the highest of beliefs

"
If the woman hadn't of given birth to man,
would  he feel the same about the one whom he loves?
The second man would rather be judged by twelve than carried by six,
though his aching pain would be cumbersome to carry.
The third man is fastidious and vein, and prefers to have his food fed to him.
The fourth is humble, but greed engulfs his mind and soul.
The fifth is kind, but is never satisfied with himself.
The sixth man has hatred , and curses the world every day,
longing for his life to end.

The seventh is the surviver , who takes pride in being a woodsman,
he is wise , and is the one who is glad he kept his mouth shut.
