Flaws Are Treasures...

Flaws Are Treasures...

A Poem by SlimBizkit
"

Just something I wrote because it helps me as well as (possibly) some other person on here that you are you, and you should be proud of it :)

"
I stare out of the window.
My eyes glance around.
I see nothing.
I look in the mirror;
I see nothing.
If I saw myself for what I truly am,
it might make me want to lie.
Lie about who I am,
cover up the flaws that I have.
Maybe the flaws are imperfection to me,
but no one is perfect.
I'm surely not.
I could pick out so many mistakes about me.
My nose, my ears, everything.
One person's flaws could be the next's treasures.
Some people are only judgmental by their personal taste.
So why should I worry about one person's thoughts?
There's a million more people to think of me differently;
seeing me as I am, who I am, and as I will always be:
ME.

Wonderful flow on this, I like the message it states. Why should I care about the thoughts of one person when there are many who love me? It really hurts to fake your personality to other people, I should know, but you should really be you, even if it means being the 'different' one. Little do we know that the black sheep separate from the herd is above the weak because we are too focused on being the white one, faking who we really are inside. This one piece really made me think, keep up the wonderful work!

Written with a sense of self-confidence in the end...I love how you have resolved the fact that you should except who you are, and not worry about what others think. Well penned!
