Dare To Be Different.

I write this in respect to everyone who's ever been bullied. It's nothing about my life, but I wrote it for anyone who is different; to assure them that its okay to dare to be different.

I dare to be different,

I contradict normality.

To them I'm a weirdo,

I guess it's just reality.

I'm alone and lost, 

waiting for someone to save me.

Maybe then, my eyes will be opened.

And my asphyxiated vision will cleared so I can see.

But for now, I tread the deep waters.

They only get deeper.

I try to say above the tide.

But I can't be kept from my keeper.

Who keeps me lost,

reminding me why I'm here.

Because I've been abandoned by you all.

And the only one left is the man in the mirror.

I wait for someone to join the two of us.

But it seems I'm left stranded.

I guess that's why daring to be different, 

feels worse than being branded.
