By the fire

By the fire

A Poem by Jesse Pruett
"

it's about a bonfire

"

As I sit by the fire

I notice the spiral

Wind that swirls in the air

The smoke is dark

And

The fire is changing colors

All of us just sit

Around the fire

As it blazes higher

Than ever before

As we sit

By this bonfire

We notice that we got

To take a huge step back

Cause it is getting hotter

And hotter by the second

We wasn't supposed to

But somebody through in a tire

And now

Many is back inside

For drinks and food

Cause it is just so

Hot!

but it will cool down

and we will go back outside

for these drinks we have

will get drunk there

cause a bonfire is always

good times

A sad ending to the story in the poem. Bonfire can be fun. Talk, drink and friendship. I like the flow ot thoughts leading to a bad ending. Thank you for sharing the excellent poetry.
