As I Lie Waiting

As I Lie Waiting

A Poem by Sarah Kae
"

I wrote this when I was down and depressed. I was having suicidal thoughts. I'm okay now. Don't worry. At the time, this was written from my perspective while talking to my best friend.

"
As I lie here
Waiting,
I think about you
And what you did.

Death drove us apart.
That tree.
That rope.
Society.
It’s all their fault.

But, that’s okay.
I’ll just lie here;
And wait
For you.

For you to join me.
Join me in a much better place.

Six feet under.
That’s where I lie.
Lie in waiting.

Sarah Kae
No need to report me for suicidal thoughts or anything. This was simply a way for me to feel better. I write a lot, which as a coping mechanism I use.
