Kids on the streets

A Poem by Michael
"
A rhyme about my experince with homeless kids on the streets of london
"

So many walk down the street and at the homeless they stare,

They stare for many reasons but few of them care.

so many people are quick to cast the first stone,

at these poor kids that live on the streets cold and alone.

you simply walk past and ignore their looks or pleas,

you couldn't really give a fuck about this kids needs.

I sat down beside Zoe on the dirty London streets,

I watched all the snobs look at us like freaks.

She never asked anyone for money,

yet you looked at her like dirt and all funny.

these kids on the street need help and to be understood,

It's not so hard if only you could.

Just because you have a house it doesn't mean you're better,

When the rain pours your all warm as they get wetter and wetter.

would it really hurt to donate a pound or two?

This is someones life whats so little money to you?

Not all homeless people are drug addicts and theives,

Open your damn eyes thats all I ask please.

Just remember when you go to sleep tonight in your comfy bed,

There are kids out there in boxes or worse in the morning they could even be dead.

But then the question still remains do you care?

Or the next time you see a homeless kid will you just walk past and stare?
