Gold

Gold

A Poem by Sarah

I burned like that flame that sparks from a single match

FIRE! FIRE! Then it is out, gone

Burned, Distinguished, Forgotten

Blackened like my heart did when you forget I was alive

Quick it was, how you made me burn

My experience wasn’t yours to take, to burn, to destroyed

Now its forever gone with the wind

That chivalry was gone once you went deep

You made me forget I was golden

Now all I see is that I am tarnished

All because you couldn’t stop your spark, your charm

Numb, cold, and black

Yet gold doesn’t burn it only melts into something far more beautiful

About
I am selfish. This is my way of letting all of me out. So that I can be there when others need me. more..
