A Streetcar Named Degeneration

A Streetcar Named Degeneration

A Poem by Clandestine Chemotherapy

Bloody heart
Scabbed, yet pumping
Life's beautifully grotesque fluid
Beating, beating your mind to a pulp
Destroying yourself with your own defenses

The heart gets beaten up a lot by so many things, and it's kind of gross to look at. Like life. But it's beautiful at the same time. Nice 100/100

This is my first attempt at slam poetry, and I'm excited to film a performance of this piece over the coming day.
