how child abuse destroyed one childs life

A little girl

Who's tattered and torn

Who hides the pain

Behind the mask

Who shows a smile

Everybody believes is real

No one sees

how black her soul is

What lies

beneath that smile

Because of you

She has to hide

The pain behind the mask

She lost the smile

That Everyone once loved

She's sick of living

This life of hatred

All because of you

A little girl dies

this is dark, which isn't a bad thing. it shows pain, which is a part of life. some may misunderstand that type of pain because they've never been through it. i like this poem, because i can relate

I liked it. It shows the rawness of pain. It shows what someone can do to you. I can relate to this poem very easily. My now ex-boyfriend was very loving at the time but he was very emotionally and mentaly abusive. He broke down every wall I tired to put up against it all. I had to find some sort of escape from him. I finally did and broke up with him. I didn't really now what do with myself after him, but now I'm a better person than I was when he was in my life. I hope everything gets better for you and you find yourself under the pain

this was really good and full of emotion. it kinda reminded me of Kelly Clarkson's song "Because of You" it's sad, and i felt it flowed better than Mirror. the words are really powerful and you did a great job here.

its good there are some errors like secound to last line beacuse should be because and 2nd line whose should be who's but still a good poem keep up the good work
