breathing gaps

breathing gaps

A Poem by Carlton Rolle

Flow into the depths of the oasis.

Not to cross along the metered trenches.

The leaping concerts a duel ascension.

I'm wondering whether it's truly mentioned.

How many times have we've been gone?

10 minutes felt like days.

While tick leap back with tocks.

Scared to really test the length of your breathe.

The width and the weft.

So I held on.

To the things that I carried, that mad me fill whole.

As space eclipsed.

We sat there.

Gazing passionately.
