Embers Of Ison

Embers Of Ison

A Poem by Solilokiss
"

This is a strAnge one. It's about comet Ison that I was recently obsessed with.

"
I watched you for days and I waited
Calculating your moves, I debated
That anytime now, you'd soon be coming around
So aroused, biting lip, aggravated

Then your carousel dip around the sun
Enflaming my hips and I was done
You licked the lash of every C.M.E
So majestic you took the best of me

I lay back in floating stars...
To playback the wonders of who you are
A night time intruder of frightful manoeuvre
Thoth hissed... 'tsk tsk... leave that devil's cigar'

Yet I could not take my eyes from your view
As your rise took me higher I knew
That either you would fizzle and a bygone be gone
Or you would race to take me to the places of God

So here I am, Ison, waiting impatiently
Perplexed and vexed of what yet you'll make of me
And as I look to the night sky for your presidency
You rain reigning embers all over my tapestry

Take me to paradise... now.

Yeah, tweaking, but good bones really good bones. Suggest "presidency" be plucked. I hope to see this again.

Thank you, Delmar. Will review the word 'presidency' - wanted to give the comet a regal feel. Thanks.. read more
