CHANCE ENCOUNTER

CHANCE ENCOUNTER

A Poem by Solitaireman
"

Believe or not, I originally wrote this because I wanted to impress a stripper. She became a fan, but it is still a work in progress.

"

Am I in the Presence of an Angel?

Or under the Spell of an Enchantress?

I confess our meeting was solely on a whim

It appears the Fates intended our paths to cross

When you strolled into my view

I saw an Ingenue with aura of a Temptress

The innocence of your countenance

Intensifies the passion in your eyes

The gentle song of your voice

Caressed the core of my soul

With every ounce of self-control

I allowed you to orchestrate our intimacy

When it happened, we did not embrace--

The two of us just loved

Unfortunately, our time together was too brief

Would the Fates cross our paths again

Under different circumstance?

If it does occur, remember these words:

"Even though, I am not in love with you,

I still love you with all my heart."

Like I said, this is a work in progress so I would appreciate any suggestions.
