A is for...

A droplet of flame encased

By a tiny cube of ice, drifts

Curiously, throughout the

Deep sea, lost yet hopeful.

 

Emulating broken dreams,

Fear, encroached the flame

Gently, as to not soften his

Heart. For she only wished to

Imbue in her newfound comrade

Joy, for isolation has denied her

Kindness. Just as others have denied her

Love.

 

Moving along the ever gentle

Nile, the flame blankly stares at

Opaquely filtered stars, which

Peer at the lonesome flame

Quaintly, as they begin to

Reminisce glimmers of nostalgic

Stories of forlorn tales that

They can scarcely recall.

 

Ululating deserted tears that

Venerate shattered courage, the ice

Wanes, sinking the small flame like a

Xebec stripped of its stern.

 

Yielding to all, there is only but

Zion tucked within his dreams.
