A Poem by Soma-ko

My loyal friend, wake.

What keeps you asleep?

Look at the light, colors

adorn your world, black.

My only friend, sleep.

What keeps you alive?

Look at me, like you

always have, your world.

My dearest friend, come.

What keeps you moving?

Look at the myriad threads

that chain you to me.

My poor friend, patience.

What keeps you faithful?

Do you wait for my death,

where you’ll reign, eternity?

My sweet brother, humbled.

What keeps you sane?

Knowing full well, it was

luck that I came out first.

My cherished soul, meek.

What keeps you satiated?

 How do you curb your

eagerness to rule,

My shadow.
