I Flunked My Exams

I Flunked My Exams

A Poem by Sonakshi Arora
"

A piece of paper cannot judge our futures.

"
I have my exams results tomorrow
And I am going all pale
I hadn't studied enough
And I'm surely going to fail

I am going all crazy now
Not sure if I will pass
Maybe I will just get 2 per cent
And stand at the bottom of the class

I think I will just burn my mark sheet
And just for sake say I flunked
I will tell my teachers that I was sick
And not that I had bunked

I could beg for grace marks
But my dignity may take a toll
After all just for 10 or 20 marks
I cannot sell my soul!

All these marks are just ephemeral
And won't set my confidence apart
If they ask why I failed all of them
I will just say that I am way too smart

And if my teacher asks me a reason
I won't say that I was glued to my phone
I'll just make a random excuse
That I couldn't study on my own

But what if my mom kills me up?
Or maybe she sends me to the jail?
I have my exam results tomorrow
And I am surely going to fail

Ha Ha Ha, Its really nice, how you have shared your feelings.
Everyone of us would have faced these types of problems. I usually had the exam fear before and after the exams until my results are out. I was sure of not failing, but still getting low marks that is not accepted by any parents:)

What honesty! How honestly and humbly you declare that you might fail. The stress of ours before result is extraordinarily conveyed in the verse. Hope ur mom didn't read the poem😉

This write made me smile. I recently graduated so I can not say I can relate right now, but yeah I've felt like flunking too often. That feeling goes unsaid among all students. I liked reading this. Nicely penned :)

Oh my God! Have you been stalking me?! It's seriously my story for today. So relatable. Today was my maths exam, and I know I'm gonna fail. By the way, the poem is amazing and is every student's story
