Friend
A friend of my came by today
She brought beautiful flowers in a bouquet
Kindness and compassion are intertwined
With this friend that I call mine
You may not think that this is true

I was feeling down and a little blue
This friend quietly listened and gave me her time
She did not ask for anything, not even a dime
A bond so great was fused together
A friendship like ours will last forever
