The Sound of Silence

The Sound of Silence

A Poem by Sound of Summer
"

a poem about love and music

"

Someday soon I’ll play for you

The Sounds that can’t be heard

like a gentle breeze thats blowing through

you’ll feel it humming in your head

You will never hear it with your ears

nor will you touch it with your hand

but as its beauty fills your eyes with tears

it feels as permanent as footprints in the sand

it grows, beating, pulsing, swelling inside

faster, louder, stronger, your heart beating

it overwhelms your senses as it rises like the tide

and somehow its violet colour feels warm, comforting

you will feel all the worlds love in the air

As it caresses, gentle as a phantoms touch

And all you can do is to stop and stare

as, at last you feel the silence

Can you feel the silence

Can you feel the silence

As I play for you

The sound that can’t be heard
