After the Rain

After the Rain

A Poem by Sourav

Sky is covered by the scattered dark and gray clouds

The sun tries to peep out behind the torn canopy

Cold breeze softly blows, waiting for the lost light

Moist earth looks so sensual in this nature’s brilliance;

Trees flutter happily, enjoy the companion of flirtatious wind

Fragrance of some wild flowers bring harmony in the air

A moment, when mind sows the seeds of bountiful dreams

A lost soul finds its home beyond all apathy and doubts.

Rain, rain, glorious rain... had some overnight.. more than welcome!! . As is your poem. You've included so much of the senses' gifts and beauty,, the life, love, the natural and ethereal. Your final line is - for me- a thank you for blessings received. Perhaps.

dear Sourav... "trees flutter happily... enjoy the companion of flirtatious wind" is a beautiful line. We have had many scenes of this romantic overture and you have captured it perfectly. Nature is a symphony of passion with the music of violins and percussion sounds of thunder and lightening when rain falls gently on flowers and blossoms of love and devotion. truly, Pat

Your words here Sourav, capture perfectly the beauty and softness of the nature we are surrounded by and lay ever so gently on the page, that it feels like even the gentlest of breezes might disturb your words...But they look more fragile than they are, and will not only stand up to nature, but time too. I would usually choose a favourite line, but they all fit so well together it is too difficult to give one line the credit. Great piece.

Wording which very well befits the story, bringing emancipated pictures inside the mind's eye. Excellent!
