My Senses Have Failed

My Senses Have Failed

A Poem by Spawn

My Senses Have Failed

My senses have failed me again

Sight, Sound and smell

Left in succession

First one then the next

Everything is gone but the feel

The feel of the hilt in my hand

The only thing certain and true

You thought you had beaten me

Hadn't you

When my senses were stripped

From my body by your hands

You think you've captured me

Because all is dark

Well then there is something you should know

When you are born into an abyss of hell

Where everything is dark

It becomes your home

And the situation you have put me in

Has made me feel more at home then ever

So go ahead and steady your blade

Prepare youself for the next attack

And in this Abyssal darkness

I will merely stand and grin

For you and I both know

This is one fight you cannot win.

This is awesome! Your poem paints a vivid picture in my mind and I like the style a lot. Great ending, too!
