The Final Riddle

The Final Riddle

A Poem by Spit_and_Prayers
"

A little thing from a journal of mine

"

I come as a shadow to upturned eyes

A darkness of uncertainty, obscuring the answer

That all must seek

Sightless and unfeeling, I am an icy shroud

I breed deceit, and am the root of all fear

I seal all dark pacts, and break all bonds

I am governed by time, yet free from its winds

Older than all yet much shorter lived

I end all beginnings so all may begin again

Who am I?

Whoa! You got me thinking very hard. :) It's about something dark which is associated with sin perhaps. im not certain. Nonetheless, this is deep, descriptive and mysterious!

I would have to say Death. I like the wording and the riddle. Good work.
