Lady Purple Feast

Lady Purple Feast

A Poem by Spoken
"

for color purple contest

"

Two lovers rub
over a rainbow’s bend
red and blue in swirling romance
tango in a colorant dance
the Chroma God’s allow their love
and a cherub birth of color stirs
endless fields of plum trees erupt
like opal ambers bursting radiant flavor
savory color salivates the eyes
desiring to swallow a bite by mere sight
the juicy pulp sticks in your vision
like tiny grains of watery sand
palpitating purple pleasure
thumping your tongue
the taste tangs the sky
dilating hurricane eyes
pinching volcanic nerves
and suddenly the vibrant color emerges
electrified above all others
A violet glacier overflows the full moon light
And night concedes to the creamy splatter
of swirling purple
the clouds drip phlox flower liqueur
a beauty the air could not resist
catching every liquid petal in a misty spray
falling gracefully from the kiss of wind
it’s a drizzle of warm glaze
a cataract purple haze
the sweet shade of lilac pale
on quivering lips
the touch of our Lady Purple
emanates incandescent finger prints
highlighting the world
and the earth celebrates
her vibrant essence
in her feasting symbol
of the noble soul in life
I bow to the Master Chief
for confection of her color
and the painter’s pallet
for remembering her
our Lady Purple
a satisfying supper
for our eyes

Author's Note

Spoken
this took a lot of effort, but i enjoyed the challenge. Purple is one color I never would have tried to create a poem around if not for this contest.

key: Cherub- basically an angelic child
chroma- purity of color
phlox- obviously a type of flower, I just wanted to point out yes it's color is purple
and i added "of the noble soul in life" because purple's color meaning is noble/spiritual

I like this overall message. The ''love can do anything'' undertones were nice--plus I like purple. ;p I'd look a little bit at word arrangement, but over all you did a bang-up job here.
