Suffocating

Suffocating

A Poem by Thistle

Stop being such a smart arse; you’re stepping out of line

Don’t you make me shut you up, I will you know this time.

Your mouth keeps running wildly, I’m close now to the brink

Stop it now, go sit down, in fact get me a drink

Know your place woman, don’t you realise who I am?

My dad he was a monster, and I’m my fathers son

Remember how he did things? I’ll do them just the same

So wipe the tears from your f*****g face and learn to take the pain

Make mine a double, just look at what you did again

I’m not afraid to shut you up, you’re driving me insane

Now look at what you made me do, you brought this on yourself

You’re whining and complaining makes me lose myself

Haven’t you heard anything? You stupid f*****g w***e

I double locked and chained you in, you won’t get past the door

This packs a punch, changed my emotion and made me angry...great work.

Poignant tale of abuse. Women don't learn or know their place sometimes. Good write heartbreaking too often true.
