When the moon rises I think of you,
The one that got away from me
The one who's love was true,
I'll watch the moon as it glows
Thinking of the things we would do,
Then the daylight comes and we are still awake
Not many could hang with us, actually very few,
These are not just words to a poem my dear
They are simply telling the story of me and you.
I am charmed by the simple honesty of this poem, Stacy! It's simply lovely, my friend. As you may agree, good poetry does not have to conform with a fixed structure. Sometimes, genuine and loving feelings can be expressed clearly, without resorting to cliche. You seem to have done that, Stacy. Thankyou!
