When Dickie Sparrow Sneezed

When Dickie Sparrow Sneezed

A Poem by Stella Armour
"

Dickie Sparrow again

"

Dickie Sparrow sneezed a sneeze

and then he sneezed again,

Mrs Sparrow couldn’t be bothered

so he flew to Mother Hen.

She laid an egg for Dickie

then she cast a magic spell,

“Now Dickie you mustn’t break it

keep it warm it will make you well.”

So Dickie plumped his feathers

and sat on the egg all day

even when Ruby Robin called

he didn’t move away.

Mrs Sparrow laughed at him,

“A sneeze isn’t being sick,

don’t you know you silly bird

you’ve sat and hatched a chick!”

Mother hen was delighted,

Dickie felt quite sad

Ruby Robin kissed his cheek

then he didn’t feel quite so bad

Absolutely delightful! Mercy! I'm just beginning my work day and so glad to have found your work. I'm smiling...which will scare those that know me, but hey! Thank you twice over, for the smile and for the fright I'm gonna be passin' out to some folks today!

Thank you Jacob, but you know Dickie doesn't deserve much sympathy as you will read later today :)
Hhhaha! this time no "naughty" Dickie lol, I feel bad for him, poor sparrow! I think he really needs to use his little brain more, but I guess we will then lose the smile, and WE don't want to lose the smile! like always, enjoyed the reading so very much, thank You dear Stella!
