Sands Of Silence...

Sands Of Silence...

A Poem by Nely Amorim

Sands of Silence

Too many nights and days filled with thoughts,

Pain in my head is overwhelming and hurts,

So many voices, too many now,

Can't hear the truth, no way, no how.

Where do I find the solace I need,

To honour my duty, how do I plead,

Your words hurt me, your opinion counts,

But I'm strong enough to deal with any outcome.

The Sounds of Silence, are the waves on the sand,

Wrap me in the beach and sing me to sleep,

Calm me with your soft breeze,

Take away the guilt and the shame.

Sun warms my skin, like a lovers hand,

Closing my eyes as I sigh,

I need your strength and healing now,

Sands of Silence come to me....

Wrap me in the beach and sing me to sleep, -- how very beautiful this line is...

How very eloquently you write...most wonderful!

As always I love your poetry. It flows together so perfectly. Makes me envious of your skill, I must say:) There will be no silence around me and I'll walk the sands with you xxx
