Spring is Near.....

another season comes and goes...

 

Spring Is Near…

 

Ocean, cobalt  blue and still

Light breeze whispers over it

Afternoon sun glistens on the peaks

As if a million twinkling diamonds

 

Pale blue sky and whimsical clouds

Clearly mark a horizon far

Islands stand afar and still

Appear as close as touching

 

Winter fools us for a time

Green’s and blues and sparkling

Within the warmth of my cocoon

Chill wind does not touch me

 

Spring is near..it’s close indeed

Yet Winter has it’s secrets

Another storm is brewing near

For the horizon speaks it.

I really enjoyed this poem. It brought back memories of when i lived on Long Island NY, having the ocean and the sound so close.

oh this is GOOD!! Amazing the words that come to mind while commuting to and fro!!? I too have come up with poem ideas while commuting to work... hmmm must have been near 20 years ago... at the moment I can not find the poem but, the visions of the scenery is still vibrant in my mind.
