Always thinking of somebody else,
I wonder if I'm ever on your mind,
I thought I was your one and only;
Turns out I'm far behind.

There's always something to take you away,
Something that always seems better,
She treats you like your hers,
and you always just let her.

I know it seems stupid and absurd,
but the pain is too real to disregard my fear.
For every step you push me back,
Heartbreak looms not far but near.

All I want is for you to love me,
Treat me like I'm yours.
If you don't want to do that,
Then what was I ever here for?
