Have, Need, Want

unloved...but i guess it was always that way

i have
a beating heart i do not want,
a lifetime of sadness through and through,
a mind broken by each and every taunt,
a soul that wanders lost without you.

i want
something to hold,
someone to tell me it will be all right,
to break free of my mold,
to hate the darkness and not the light.

i need
someone out there to love me,
so i can finally be saved,
someone to actually look close and see,
that i can no longer be brave.
