No fairytales

No fairytales

A Poem by Dreamer

Once upon a time

I killed a mouse,

He climbed up my clock,

It woke me up

(Hicker-Dicker-ry)

Once upon a time Prince Charming found my slipper

Spent an entire night with me but...only recognized my shoe?

I guess now I know...

Princes' have fetishes to...

Sleeping beauty

What a cutie

One hundred years of sleep

A prince's kiss will wake you up

(I guess we know what his end will be)

"DEATH...by lethal morning breath"

Snow White?

Should rename her blackish blue.

An apple in your throat...how much breathing could you do?

In a glass coffin,

How old was this author?

She's dead!

Not resting.

Stories that paint these false ideologies

Got these little girls trying to 'dream up' reality.

I don't need any sugar plums dancing in my head

I rather the truth in the stories that are read.

"The Little Mermaid,"

Sacrificed everything for a lover...

Who 'shockingly' (not) still chose another,

Killed her, with all those words that he said.

Now she's foam in the sea,

While he's cozy in his bed.

i choose to believe that they provide some lessons worth learning

' Death by lethal morning breath'

That is a very funny line.

You are right in the poem.
All these fairy got us all deluded at some point.
But now a lot of us are grown up and see that life ain't always a fairy tale.

WELL DONE

I like this; a different side of the perfectly thought fairytales. I like how you cover all the main ones, I can't think of any you haven't covered.

Few real fairy tales. Last year. Mike Tyson daughter was sick. He had no money. The people of his neighborhood collected money for him to pay his doctors bills. He was so surprised. His outlook on life changed. The man "Mike Tyson" learn he was loved and appreciated. I believe in kindness and fairy tales. I believe we need more kindness and less greed in our world. Thank you for the powerful poetry.
