Where the West was all but won

All alone, smoking his last cigarette

I said, "Where you been?" He said, "Ask anything"

Where were you when everything was falling apart?

All my days were spent by the telephone that never rang

And all I needed was a call that never came

To the corner of 1st and Amistad

She was the girl of my dreams. We did everything together. It was truly love and I knew it. We've been together for about 3 years now. But one day she disappeared and left me broken for about two years. Now I blamed god for all my problems but now I know it wasn’t his fault. It was hers. She never wrote or called of emailed me and I stayed home mostly all day so If one day she decided to, I wouldn’t miss it. But, yet, it didn’t ever come.

          One day I finally lost it. I punched walls, kicked tables, and flipped stuff over. When my violent episode disappeared I broke down in tears. And I laid on the floor looking at the ceiling when someone peered down at me. IT WAS HER! She helped me up at she told me that she left cause she was in witness protection. She said she wrote but I never returned them until she called and found out that I had moved. I’m just happy I never left her mind... but what's this about witness protection?

 

But in the end everyone ends up alone

Losing her, the only one who's ever known

Who I am, who I'm not and who I wanna be

No way to know how long she will be next to me

                We've been going out to places ever since that day. Today we just got out of the movies. It was raining and we were walking together under an umbrella when a man pulled a gun out on us and shot her. It happened so quickly. The man was gone and she was on the ground. I tried to stop the bleeding but it didn’t help so I called 911. She started closing her eyes but before then she placed a hand on my face and kissed me. She told me that she loved me and I broke me down. I told her I loved her too and that I was sorry and she said that it was okay and she's sorry that she ever left me. After that her body fell limp in my grip. I looked to the sky and I cursed out to god. But it wasn’t his fault. It was hers.

The early morning, the city breaks

And I've been calling for years and years and years and years

And you never left me no messages

You never sent me no letters

You got some kind of nerve taking all I want!

I woke up the next day. I was so confused. Was this a dream or was it real. Everything seemed as if it weren’t touched. I sighed; if it was a dream then it let me realize that everything that had happened to me after she left was her fault and I should not be cursing god but I should be cursing her.
