Winter

Winter

A Poem by Suz

Don’t leave me winter
Peaceful and serene
The muffled silence
of snow on the trees

Don’t leave me winter
Your glistening moon
Illuminates landscapes
Making my heart swoon

Don’t leave me winter
The stars shine so bright
With the beauty you bring
on a cold winters night

Don’t leave me winter
I need your reprieve
Cradled by the warm fire
While everything sleeps

Don’t leave me winter
I need you right here
Your silent patience
That eases all of my fear

Don’t leave me winter
Please stayone more day
Don’t let the sunrise
Don’t let the day break

Don’t leave me winter
Just a little more time
Just for a moment
Please stay by my side

Don’t leave me winter
With our last embrace
You linger for a moment
Holding on to this place

I love you, winter
I know you must go
The spring sun is coming
To melt cold winter snow

I love you, winter
I keep you in my heart
I’ll see you in my dreams
I’ll meet you in the dark

I love you winter
You will always be mine
I will love you winter
Until the end of time

Don’t leave me winter
My very best friend
I love you, my winter
Until we meet again

Nicely done, though most of us just wish it was over! :)
Seriously though, this is a nice piece of work. It captures your feelings for the cold months very well.

I spotted one trivial typo that you might want to fix:
'Please stayone more day'
A space is required between stay and one.
