Open Canvas

Open Canvas

A Poem by Saruwa
"

Create a beautiful work again and again. Each day is an open canvas.

"

The mind an open canvas onto which love spills and pain soils

Amidst the beauty and despair they blend to make a projection of life. An accurate depiction whether planned or chance. For what is life if not lived through joy and pain? What is love if heartache hasn't been tasted? Isn't it the lack of that makes it's presence sweeter? Isn't it the void that makes the hole feel more filled? For though the canvas seems empty now, step back and you will see a masterpiece brushed with strokes of pleasure and pain. Love and loss. All to be made new someday. And it's all the more brilliant because.

Life as an open canvas, lovely metaphor.....

We all have this one canvas. We paint on it, wipe it clean, then paint on it some more....
It is the picture of our lives, telling the tales of our emotions and experiences. Using the idea here of Life as art, is very clearly defined. We are the masters of our own canvas. And my! Doesn't that picture change shape, so many times?!
A very efficient, and relevant poem.

And mount them to the walls of memory, signed with the date and emotion they represent
