A Secret Hideaway

A Secret Hideaway

A Poem by SyberRose

Romantic oil painting, Romantic Oil Paintings Reproductions:Romantic oil painting Young Love

I loved you to the point of no return
you were my heart, my love, and my soul
the morning and the night for you I yearned
the whisper of your voice made my heart toll

In the wick of candlelight we slow danced
our hideaway of secrets we made love
two bodies held tightly and entranced
molded together like a silken glove

Two silhouettes in the light of the moon
you were mine until the dawns morning light
as in our dance our bodies stayed in tune
held in your arms, within solace of night

Forever in my memory you will be
my heart will cling like the roots of a tree.

Absolutely lovely poem, and the painting goes terrific with it. Young love, elder love, new love, old love, it simply does not matter. Your poem beautifully describes the affection two people have towards each other, and the imagery is wonderful. Great poem, and much enjoyed.

Good...have fun ha...:)
"My heart will cling like the roots of a tree". Lovely line. In fact a number of lovely lines. I liked the balance between the solace of the night and the until of dawn.
Well done.
