Pizzicato

Pizzicato

A Poem by SyberRose

Pizzicato

The wind plucks the strings of the night
as the weeping willows whisper
in the ear of the dark~

Not jaded by the rain nor the drought of love
I wait for the shadow of a stranger
to emerge in my dreams~

And as moonlight leaves tremble
like the tides ebb and flow
the slender limbs of temptation
cling to the midnight hour.

What a clever use of the term “pizzicato”, Rose! I liked the personification of the wind and weeping willows. Filled with mysterious romantic longing. When the night falls, all fantasies seem possible and temptation looms large. Great imagery in this one. Lydi**
