Hand in Secret Hand

Hand in Secret Hand

A Poem by SydneyPseudonym

A poem taken from my writing tumblr blog losing-the-generation.

"

I put my hand in yours

Run my other through your hair.

I’m looking for something

But in your eyes

I don’t find it.

I could hold you in my arms

Tell you a thousand and one lies

But what good would that do?

None at all.

Because when I see him in his passion

With the dead feeling out of his eyes

No make up that you put on

No dress accenting your curves

No high-heels thrown carelessly on the ground

Could match it.

You have a right to know this

Just as I have a right to love him

I have the right to lace my fingers in his

The way ours are  entwined now.

I have the right to wake up every morning

With his arms around me

I have the right to be one  with him

And no matter what you say

You don’t have the power to stop that.
