All Hallow's Eve

All Hallow's Eve

A Poem by T.S.Barker
"

I wrote this one morning after about a month of really strange dreams about...well, exactly what the poem is about.

"

All-Hallows Eve

Dreams of shared meals with forgotten friends,

In homes and halls now long abandoned.

Cool morning walks in new reaped fields,

Following the shades of dogs now buried.

People in common only through me,

Labor together in fields of contention.

Truly, they have been pleasant companions

In this is the season of the dead.

Poetry is not my first love, however I wisely write things down when they come. I'll take any suggestions on how to make it sharper.

It's been over a year since I've looked at this poem and I can see ways to improve it by just simplifying the language and making it more personal with the use of "I".
