A Poem by Javan
"

Just getting things off my chest.

"

I hide my heart,
in the tallest tower,
on the furthest mountain
and obscure its visions
of a painful horizon,
under clouds of milky smoke
and a storm of shots and teardrops.

A black dragon guards the entrance.
Beckoning all those who catch its eye,
and burning all those who get too close.
Waiting to face the one
who its flames can’t touch.
It stands proud and ferocious,
knowing that it will fall at her feet.

The monster called Pride,
guards the tower Insecurity,
atop the mountain of Fear.
Waiting for the one
who cursed it into existence,
to banish it once more.
And will patiently wait for an eternity.
