Sunlight filtered through the perfume bottle,

creating a splendid rainbow presence.

 

Sadness retreated to a dark oblivion,

leaving a purer serenity through the glass.

 

Gifts from the sky are serene for a heart broken in two pieces,

discovering merciful peace.

I love it when a writer can take a mundane subject or an everyday object, and make poetry out of it. The perfume bottle you pen about came to life for me. I felt that if I opened it up I'd find some fairy tale world within it. And oh yes..it smells good too. :P

This is so well done! I loved the vision of a rainbow through the perfume bottle, as light through a prism sends rainbows dancing around the room. It can indeed, lighten the heart.
