Beautiful Morning

Beautiful Morning

A Chapter by TKBickel

A new dawn to a new day arrived and Samantha decided to sleep in and miss it. Sam returned with breakfast and coffee when he met up with Mick entering their quaint Inn. He appeared like a man in need of a shower and sleep, with a glow of having way too much fun on his smiling face. “I suppose none of that is for me?”

“Only what you can pry out of Sammie’s hands.”

“Maybe you can distract her,” with a snicker.

Surprised at Mick’s playfulness, Sam had placed high odds of crankiness with the problem of the strange meltdowns, as Mick likes to call them.

“By the way...I really appreciate whatever you two did to break the connection thing last night…I thought I was a goner again…but it stopped after the tingle wave and hairs standing up on my arms.” The talking came to a halt when he realized Sam stopped following. He swung around to a puzzled looking brother a few feet away. “What…Oh Hell, don’t tell me you don’t know how you did it?”

Sam passed him up with a smirk to unlock the door. “Oh I know how we did it. I just don’t know how we stopped that…There were a few things we tried out differently last night.”

“Whoa there, let’s don’t go traumatizing me so early in the day.”

A hefty sigh escape from Sam. “We are in need of sitting down and discussing this…No matter how uncomfortable it will make all of us. We aren’t dealing with a normal situation.”

As he opened the door Samantha sat up in the middle of the bed to stretch out the kinks and yawn. “Well look what the cat dragged in. Nice to see you remember where we are.”

“You’re still in bed?” Mick let another snicker loose. “Did you wear yourself out yesterday?”

She shot him with a few daggers in her glare. “For your information, I felt like being lazy this morning.”

“Is that just this morning?” He shot back with a smirk.

Sam shook his head as he placed the coffee and bag of scones on the table. If he keeps this up we are bound to have a little scuffle no matter how much Sammie protests.

She jabbed back at Mick. “Some of us have to be well rested to watch over your old, tired, worn out a*s today.”

“I thought you only have eyes for one a*s now.”

He finally sparked a reaction but it was out of Sam. “Mick, I’m going to kick that old worn out a*s of yours if you don’t watch it!”

“Will just see about that little brother.”

Touched by her champion coming to her defense, she didn’t need help to take Mick down. Cooing, “Wait a minute baby…He’s right about one thing…I have eyes for one a*s and what a work of art it is.”

Sam was still trying to get use to the new sexually aggressive side of her. Most of the time he would be to caught up in the moment to notice. A wave of heat hit him with a full body blush.

Mick rolled his eyes. “Oh God, I’m taking a shower before I’m traumatized any further.” He disappeared in the bathroom.

That left Sam meeting Samantha’s devious grin with his crooked one. A come hither wave of a finger coaxed him to her without hesitation. Reaching his destination, she nudged the hair away from his eyes and sent a little mental message to him. Good morning blue eyes.

Good morning beautiful.

You know talk like that will get you everywhere with me. Softly, she kissed the smile on his warm lips.

“It’s official, I’m ready for my padded room.”

A little giggle escaped. “Thank you for yesterday. I almost felt like a normal person on vacation. I haven’t had normalcy since…” She had to think hard, “…since graduation.”

He understood how she felt. He himself hadn’t felt normal since the Kelley’s were abducted, unless you count brooding a normal. “When we get back home, I want to take you on normal dates. How about movies and dinner? I’ll even break down and take you dancing…But let’s keep last nights type of dancing just for us.” Giggling commenced again and it made Sam’s heart sing to see her happy.

“That sounds really normal and I love it.”

“Good, now get your gorgeous lazy butt up and around before Mick eats your breakfast. Goggons will be here in an hour.” With a quick peck a, “Yes sir,” followed as she bounced out of the bed.

Yes I know, short chapter. It was either a very long chapter or a short one to break it up. I find I’m loosing reader with the longer chapters.

I really loving Mick and Sam brotherly relationship. I think it is kinda cool. I didn't really mind the short chapter. It was still full of good details. I love this chapter and I will be reading more. Also I really didn't find anything wrong.
