PUPPY LICKIN MY ARM

PUPPY LICKIN MY ARM

A Poem by Tom

PUPPY LICKIN MY ARM

Had a puppy lickin my arm

Knew he wouldn't do any harm

Gonna do what he wants to do

I live on a goofy avenue

He's got a heart of gold

For sure has a tongue that's bold

What's bound to happen next

I'm more than glad I don't text

I got an off the wall breed

Have hope he'll succeed

A quality beyond measure

Eats food at his leisure

I doubt he knows to savor

But likes his favorite flavors

This puppy's holds a strange charm

Bet he would love being on a farm

He snuggles up in bed

Steals blankets I do so dread

I pay him a lot of attention

Glad he doesn't receive a pension
