Ferocious

Ferocious is my nickname for a

most forgiving and patient

lover of festivals

She rules every domain

with a glance

a flip of her hair

or an arch of her brow

for she will not repeat herself

Redundancy appauls her

yet she loves love

Perfection fails her

yet she is in love with what she does

She plays no games

only to be game for anything

at least once

Anything else would be a crime

at a time when the world

needs a passionate throwdown

reminding it that there is hope

and that we can break Anaphora's reign

I love her

Devoid of her love for me

is her swagger

a precocious stagger that provokes my

insatiability for her as I am but a mere

protozoan willing to be sacrificed on her

mensa

Yet she loves love

And I know she is love

And I know she lies in wait

because she can

for retracing any steps

her name is the same

I have to agree with the reviewer before me. It makes me a little jealous that you wrote such a passionate and gorgeous poem about this girl. I think my favorite lines are
