Just call him, Al

Just call him, Al

A Poem by TTBoy28

You know Him

for he does not need to sit beside you

You know Him

neither do you need to hear his stories of despair

He makes decisions for the railroad

He can fly a plane better than a child

He even watches the children after school

wasted, exhausted, thirsty

wreaking of a cologne that only comes from a package

You know Him

and well

As therapy tries to exorcize his mind

His body craves attention

of what has died

It is the monster inside that speaks in tongues

as it stumbles out of each door it opens

to find the next hole to crawl in

for his money spends well

as he is known as the patrong saint of foreclosures

You know Him

When a mother soothes her child suffering with

colic

Oh Al, is comforted only by the spirits

that love him for who and what he is
