Never Forgotten

Never Forgotten

A Poem by ROXANE DORSEY

Pop, pop what a shame,
'dem bullets had no name.
Missed it's mark again.
Made a mother cry out,
sin. I feel for her within.
You destroyed a generation
and opened the door for
hatred.
The blood spilled gave me
the chills, moved my nerves
to anxiety.  Silently I hurt
and must say good-bye to
the little man I did not know.
Soon I'll  wipe these tears
from my eyes.
And tomorrow the sun will
shine to show his doing fine.

love poetry since it has been embedded in my mind deeply way back when I was 4 years old. A very good reader in pre-school. Nursery rhymes tuned me in even deeper. more..
